
Unstuffed Pepper Skillet: Pressure Cooker Style
Unstuffed Pepper Skillet has all of the things that you loved about a stuffed pepper in an easy to make skillet meal! This is loaded with ground beef, peppers, tomato sauce, and cheese, and is sure to become a new family favorite!

- 1 Medium sized skillet over medium high heat

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 diced green bell pepper
- 1 diced red bell pepper
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 (16-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 ⅓ cups instant rice
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- chopped cilantro for garnish

- In a medium sized skillet over medium high heat, add 1 pound lean ground beef, ½ cup chopped onion, 1 diced green bell pepper, 1 diced red bell pepper and 3 minced garlic cloves.
- Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink and the veggies are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add 1 teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, 1 (16-ounce) can tomato sauce, and 1 ⅓ cups instant rice.
- Bring to a boil and cover, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5-7 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Sprinkle with 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and stir until cheese has melted. Top with chopped cilantro for garnish.
Notes
Serve immediately with additional garnishes if desired.
