Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 Celsius.
Cream the melted butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Stir in vanilla extract, orange zest, and lukewarm milk.
Mix flour and baking ammonia together, then slowly add to wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
Knead dough lightly on a floured surface until smooth.
Break dough into small pieces and shape into twists or braids.
Place shaped cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Mix egg yolks with water and brush over each cookie.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
