Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz pumpkin puree
  • 2 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz orange liqueur like Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz simple syrup adjust for sweetness
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ice cubes
  • sea salt or sugar for rimming the glass
  • lime wedges for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the glasses by spreading a thin layer of coarse sea salt or sugar on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each margarita glass, then dip the rims into the salt or sugar to coat them. Set aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, pumpkin puree, lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes, then secure the lid tightly. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to ensure all ingredients are well mixed and chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glasses filled with ice, if desired.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass for an extra touch.

Notes

For a spicier kick, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture before shaking.
You can also make a larger batch by multiplying the ingredients by the number of servings you need.
To make homemade simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat until the sugar is dissolved, then cool before using.
