- 4 large bread rolls About 8 ounces each.
- 1 cup cooked shrimp Chopped.
- 1 cup crab meat Shredded.
- 1 cup cream cheese Softened (8 ounces).
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup green onions Chopped.
- 2 cloves garlic Minced.
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Carefully cut the tops off each bread roll and hollow out the insides, leaving about a half-inch border. Reserve the bread that you removed for later use.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, green onions, minced garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Spoon the seafood mixture into each hollowed-out bread roll, packing it lightly.
Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Feel free to customize the seafood filling by adding other types of seafood such as scallops or lobster.
For a spicier kick, consider adding diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the filling.
Serve this dish with a side salad for a complete meal.
