Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sourdough starter active and bubbly
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ½ teaspoon dried herbs such as rosemary or thyme, optional
  • to taste salt additional salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and dried herbs (if using) until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out with a rolling pin to about ⅛ inch thick.
  • Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the rolled-out dough into desired shapes (squares, rectangles, or triangles).
  • Place the cut crackers on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle light salt over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, feel free to incorporate your favorite spices or seeds into the dough.
