Instructions

  • First, wash those baby creamer potatoes real good and halve ’em so they cook evenly. You wanna make sure each piece gets the perfect tender pull.
  • Next, slice your smoked sausage into bite-sized rounds. This helps every piece mingle with the veggies for that perfect bite. Chop up that onion and the green bell pepper real small so they cook down nicely.
  • Now grab a big bowl. Toss in your halved potatoes, sliced sausage, chopped onion, and green bell peppers. Drizzle in the olive oil, then sprinkle on Slap Ya Mama seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Use your hands or a big spoon to toss everything nice and even so every piece gets coated.
  • Transfer all that goodness into your pressure cooker pot. Dot the top with butter chunks. Closed lid on, make sure float valve is up and locked in place.
  • Set your cooker to high pressure and cook for about 10 minutes. You’ll hear that valve hiss when you quick release, so be ready with your spoon and mitts.
  • Once you get that pressure off, open the lid carefully. Stir it all to mix the melting butter from the top into those layers of flavor.
  • If you want your potatoes a little crispier, you can put it under the broiler for a few minutes or saute them in a pan right after. But honestly, the pressure cooker gets them tender just right.
  • Serve hot with maybe some crusty bread or a side salad. You got a meal ready in no time that tastes like it simmered for hours.
