Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 food processor or rolling pin and resealable bag
  • 1 spoon or spatula
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 fork or toothpick

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies 15.35 ounces.
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely crushed, or place them in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, creamy peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until fully combined and dough-like.
  • Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place each truffle on a parchment-lined baking sheet until all the mixture is used.
  • Chill the baking sheet with the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil, then microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, ensuring they are fully coated before returning them to the parchment paper.
  • Place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is set.
  • Serve your Reese's Peanut Butter Oreo Truffles and enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

For added decoration, consider drizzling some additional melted chocolate over the truffles before they set.
You can experiment with different types of chocolate, such as white chocolate or milk chocolate, for dipping.
These truffles make a great gift when packaged in decorative boxes!
