Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the puff pastry and slice them into even rectangles.
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on half of the rectangles (if using).
Spread basil pesto evenly over the cream cheese or plain pastry rectangles.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the pesto layer.
Top each with another puff pastry rectangle and press edges lightly to seal.
Cut into tree shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
Place shaped pastries on lined baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
To reheat leftovers, use a toaster oven or conventional oven for best texture. Freeze for longer storage and reheat directly from frozen.
