In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the olive oil and salt to the mixture, then gradually stir in the all-purpose flour using a wooden spoon or spatula until a dough begins to form.
Lightly flour a clean surface and transfer the dough onto it. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball and place it back into the mixing bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release air. Transfer it back to the floured surface and roll it out to your desired thickness (for a crust similar to Pizza Hut, keep it about ½ inch thick).
Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. Add your favorite sauce, toppings, and cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
