  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Onion small, ½ diced, ½ minced
  • 1 Bell Pepper green, diced
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 8 oz Cheddar Cheese or Mozzarella
  • 6 Buns brioche hamburger style

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly.
  • Saute diced onion and bell pepper for about 5 minutes until soft.
  • Add ground beef, breaking apart with a spatula, cook until brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir in beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes then add cornstarch slurry.
  • Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
  • Turn off heat and add cheese to mix until melted.
  • Toast buns and serve sloppy joe mix atop.
