Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey Feel free to increase for sweeter bars.
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats Consider substituting some with crispy rice cereal for crunch.
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts Optional.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey, stirring until smooth and well mixed.
  • Add the rolled oats, chocolate chips, chopped nuts (if using), and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal, if desired.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the lined baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to allow the bars to set.
  • Once set, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper and cut them into 12 equal squares.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

Feel free to customize the bars by adding dried fruits or seeds according to your preference.
If you prefer sweeter bars, increase the amount of honey to suit your taste.
For a crunchy texture, consider substituting some of the rolled oats with crispy rice cereal.
