Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
Carefully flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, honey, and soy sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the orange glaze over the top. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
