- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds total.
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup fresh orange juice Approximately 2-3 oranges.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 piece orange zest Zest of 1 orange.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, orange juice, olive oil, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and orange zest until well combined. This will be your marinade.
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Discard the marinade.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve the grilled chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight.
This chicken pairs well with grilled vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
If you like a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
