  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.5 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 0.5 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups uncooked medium pasta shells
  • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Brown your ground beef in a large pot on medium heat until fully cooked with a bit of color at the edges - about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Toss in your chopped onion and cook until soft, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour in the 2 cups of beef broth and bring it to a boil.
  • Add in your uncooked medium shells, reduce heat to a simmer, and let it cook covered for about 10 to 12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, cook for 2-3 minutes, and fold in cubed Velveeta cheese until it melts.

Notes

Serve the cheesy beef and shells immediately. If the dish appears to dry out, feel free to add a splash of extra broth or cream to bring back the creamy texture.
