Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts chicken About 1 pound.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper seasonings
  • optional fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
  • While the spaghetti cooks, season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice the cooked chicken breasts into strips.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti and half of the barbecue sauce. Mix until well coated.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a baking dish, layer the spaghetti mixture, followed by the sliced chicken on top. Drizzle the remaining barbecue sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

Feel free to customize the recipe by adding vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the chicken while cooking.
You can swap Monterey Jack cheese with cheddar or a cheese blend if preferred.
This dish can be prepared in advance and baked right before serving for convenience.
