  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat to sear brisket.
  • Mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl for spice rub.
  • Rub spice mix all over the brisket, covering every inch.
  • Place brisket on grill, cooking for 6 to 8 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Brush barbecued brisket with sauce and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Slice brisket and serve.

Notes

For a quicker version, you can sear the brisket in the pressure cooker on sauté mode before switching to pressure mode.
