Feel free to use different flavors and colors of gelatin to create a vibrant assortment! These Jello Easter Eggs can be made a day in advance, making them a perfect treat for Easter gatherings.

Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 small egg-shaped molds or plastic egg shells
  • 1 saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 2 boxes flavored gelatin any color/flavor
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup whipped cream optional for serving

Instructions
 

  • Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flavored gelatin with the boiling water. Whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir well.
  • If using egg-shaped molds, lightly grease them with non-stick spray to help with removal.
  • Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into the egg molds, filling each one nearly to the top.
  • Place the filled molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the gelatin is firm.
  • Once set, carefully remove the gelatin eggs from the molds.
  • Serve the Jello Easter Eggs as is, or top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For a fun twist, consider layering different colors of gelatin in the molds for a striped effect. Just make sure to allow each layer to set before adding the next.
