Begin by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat.
In a mixing bowl, pour the boiling water over the Jello packets. Stir well with a whisk until the Jello is completely dissolved.
Add 1 cup of cold water to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
If using plastic egg molds, lightly spray them with cooking spray for easy removal. If using hollowed-out eggs, make sure they are cleaned and dried.
Carefully pour the Jello mixture into the molds or hollowed-out eggs. Fill them about three-quarters full to allow room for expansion.
Place the molds or egg shells in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
Once set, gently remove the Jello eggs from the molds or shells. If they are sticking, you can run a small knife around the edges to help release them.
Serve the Jello eggs as is, or top with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat.
