Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound baby carrots Can substitute with regular carrots, peeled and cut into sticks.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with maple syrup if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • to taste seasoning salt
  • to taste seasoning freshly ground black pepper
  • optional fresh parsley For garnish, chopped.

Instructions
 

  • If using regular carrots, peel them and cut them into sticks roughly the same size as baby carrots.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Once boiling, add the carrots and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.
  • Drain the carrots and return them to the saucepan.
  • Add the butter, honey, and lemon juice to the pan with the carrots. Stir well to combine.
  • Cook over medium heat for another 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and glazed with the honey and butter mixture.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a bit of extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the glaze.
You can substitute maple syrup for honey if you prefer a different sweetness profile.
This recipe is versatile and pairs well with roasted meats, grilled dishes, or vegetarian options.
