Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Approximately 450 g.
  • 8 ounces smoked sausage, sliced Approximately 225 g.
  • 3 tablespoons honey Approximately 45 ml.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Approximately 30 ml.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Approximately 15 ml.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Approximately 15 ml.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional, adjust based on spice preference.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
  • Chopped green onions For garnish, optional.

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes or until browned.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to turn pink.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and sausage. Stir to coat everything evenly and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp are fully cooked and coated in the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Make sure the shrimp are thawed before cooking if using frozen shrimp.
You can serve this dish over rice, quinoa, or alongside a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your spice preference.
