These homemade Butterfinger Bars are a healthier version of the classic candy bar, made with natural ingredients like peanut butter, maple syrup, and corn flakes, offering a deliciously crunchy and sweet treat without refined sugars.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, add the peanut butter, maple syrup, and molasses. Heat for a few minutes, stirring until smooth and evenly combined. Add vanilla and sea salt and mix again. Remove from heat.
In a large mixing bowl, add the corn flakes. Pour the peanut butter mixture on top and stir to coat the flakes fully.
Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the corn flake mixture into the dish and gently press so that it's evenly distributed into a single layer.
Make the chocolate layer by combining chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl. Microwave 30 sec, stir, and repeat until smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate on top of the cornflake layer, spread evenly.
Set in the fridge for 1-2 hrs, until hardened.
Slice and enjoy!
Notes
These bars are best kept refrigerated to maintain the chocolate's firmness and the bar’s texture.
