Begin by preparing all ingredients. Wash and cut the broccoli into small florets. Mince the garlic and ginger.
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Push the ground beef to one side of the skillet, then add the broccoli florets to the other side. Stir-fry the broccoli for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth. Pour this sauce over the beef and broccoli mixture in the skillet.
Stir well to coat everything in the sauce. Allow it to simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, if desired.
