Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper optional
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 tongs or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds fresh broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional for extra zing

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the broccoli is well coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Spread the broccoli mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Roast the broccoli in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are crisp and the florets are tender, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once roasted, remove the broccoli from the oven and immediately sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Return to the oven and roast for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  • For an extra zing, drizzle lemon juice over the hot broccoli before serving.

Notes

For a spicy kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the broccoli before roasting.
This dish can be served warm or at room temperature.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving for the best taste. Enjoy!
