Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 pot for boiling pasta
  • 1 colander
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes You can substitute with flank steak or tenderloin for a different flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 8 oz fettuccine or any pasta of your choice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat to medium and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy Parmesan sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Return the steak bites back to the skillet, tossing them with the pasta and creamy sauce. Cook for an additional minute just to heat through.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a bit of heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the steak bites while they cook.
You can substitute the sirloin steak with flank steak or tenderloin for a different flavor.
Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for added nutrition and color.
