1 large skillet
1 cutting board
1 tongs
1 serving plates
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped optional
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Once hot, add the cubed sirloin steak to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the boiled potatoes to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter until well coated. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the potatoes are slightly crispy.
Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss everything together for another minute to heat through and combine the flavors.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot on serving plates.
For added flavor, you can include herbs like thyme or rosemary.
Adjust the cooking times based on the thickness of your steak cubes for desired doneness.
Serve with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
