Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces bihon rice noodles Soak in warm water for 10 minutes.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound beef sirloin Sliced thinly.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 medium onion Sliced.
  • 1 large carrot Julienned.
  • 1 small green bell pepper Sliced.
  • 1 cup cabbage Shredded.
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust based on preference for saltiness.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Adjust based on preference for saltiness.

  • to garnish green onions Chopped.
  • for serving lemon or lime wedges

Instructions
 

  • Soak the bihon noodles in warm water for about 10 minutes or until they soften. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add the julienned carrots and green bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  • Return the beef to the skillet and add the shredded cabbage. Stir well to combine.
  • Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the soaked bihon noodles to the skillet, tossing gently to combine all ingredients. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the noodles to soak up the flavors and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon or lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For a more colorful dish, feel free to add other vegetables such as snap peas or corn.
This dish can be made in advance and reheated. It tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld together.
Adjust the amount of soy sauce and oyster sauce based on your preference for saltiness.
