Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), and sesame oil. Whisk together until well combined.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water until dissolved, then add this mixture to the sauce.
  • Add in the garlic powder, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the sauce mixture. Whisk until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour the sauce into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sauce begins to thicken, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Allow the sauce to cool slightly before using it on your stir-fry dish.
  • Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
