  • 100 g Cheese grated, preferably Gruyère or cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to fit your baking tray.
  • Score a 1-inch border around the edge of the pastry and prick the center to prevent puffing.

  • Arrange asparagus stalks evenly over the cheese layer.
