Melt the butter in your pressure cooker pot over medium heat.
Add the thinly sliced onions and stir frequently for about 20 minutes until golden brown and sweet.
Sprinkle in the black pepper and garlic powder. Mix well.
Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir, then seal the lid of the pressure cooker.
Bring to pressure and cook for about 12 minutes. Let slow release after cooking.
Preheat broiler while soup finishes. Ladle the soup into oven-safe bowls.
Top each with toasted bread and a slice of cheese.
Place bowls under broiler for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
