  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Easter-themed candies (like M&Ms or chocolate eggs)
  • ¼ cup pastel sprinkles optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, measure out the Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture until well combined.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently fold the cereal until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, add the powdered sugar. Carefully transfer the chocolate-coated cereal into the bag, seal it, and shake until all the pieces are coated in powdered sugar.
  • Spread the muddy buddies out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper to cool.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the Easter-themed candies and pastel sprinkles over the top for a festive touch.
