In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer or whisk.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and orange zest.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
Gently fold in the mixed dried fruits until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled loaf cake.
