Ingredients
  

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (12 oz) whipped topping, thawed like Cool Whip
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 package (15 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup gummy worms optional
  • to taste none Easter-themed candy for decoration optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer or whisk to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  • Fold in the thawed whipped topping gently until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the chocolate instant pudding mixes with 4 cups of milk until smooth and slightly thickened (about 2 minutes).
  • Carefully fold the chocolate pudding mixture into the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture until well incorporated.
  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. Leave some larger pieces for texture if desired.
  • In the 9x13 inch baking dish, start layering: begin with half of the chocolate mixture at the bottom, then sprinkle half of the crushed Oreos on top.
  • Add another layer of the chocolate mixture and top it with the remaining crushed Oreos.
  • Optionally, garnish with gummy worms and Easter-themed candy on top for decoration.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use reduced-fat cream cheese and sugar-free pudding mix.
Feel free to customize with other toppings or themes based on your preferences.
This cake is best enjoyed chilled and can be prepared a day in advance for convenience.
