Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  • Place the ham in the crock pot, cut-side down. If desired, stud the surface of the ham with whole cloves for added fragrance and presentation.
  • Pour the glaze over the ham, making sure to cover it as evenly as possible. Use a spoon to help spread the glaze if necessary.
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for about 6 hours. The ham is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F.
  • Once cooked, remove the ham from the crock pot and let it rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness and spices in the glaze to your preference by adding more honey or spices.
Leftover ham can be stored in the refrigerator and used in sandwiches, salads, or casseroles.
If using a smaller or larger ham, adjust the cooking time accordingly; generally, cook for about 20 minutes per pound on low.
