Equipment

  • 1 oven
  • 1 9x13 inch baking pan
  • 1 mixing bowls
  • 1 whisk or electric mixer
  • 1 rubber spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 parchment paper (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or milk chocolate.
  • 1 cup assorted Easter candies like mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans for decoration.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar until combined.
  • Allow the butter-sugar mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut them into 12 squares.
  • After cutting, decorate each brownie with the assorted Easter candies on top.
  • For an extra festive touch, consider drizzling melted chocolate over the top before adding the decorations.
