  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar lightly packed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel flavored chips
  • Sea salt flakes for sprinkling over top
  • caramel sauce or dulce de leche for drizzling, optional

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and caramel chips.
  • Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12 minutes or until edges are set and centers are soft.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt flakes and optional drizzle caramel sauce over top after baking.
