  • Cream together 1 cup unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time until well combined.
  • Add brewed coffee and buttermilk. Stir until smooth.
  • Sift self-rising flour with cocoa powder in another bowl.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips gently.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
