Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can use half-and-half or lower-fat alternative.
  • 4 cups egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides.
  • In the slow cooker, combine the browned beef, beef broth, mushrooms, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 6 hours.
  • Once the cooking time is over, stir in the heavy cream into the mixture in the slow cooker.
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Once the beef mixture is finished, add the cooked egg noodles to the slow cooker and gently stir to combine everything. Allow it to cook for an additional 10 minutes to heat through.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your meal.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, like carrots or peas, in the last hour of cooking for added nutrition.
For a lighter option, you can replace heavy cream with half-and-half or a lower-fat alternative.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
