  • 4 cups leftover mac and cheese chilled
  • 5 ounces cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
  • 3 large eggs
  • 6 cups corn flakes crushed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1-2 pinch salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for air fryer basket

  • Mix leftover mac and cheese with cubed cheddar pieces in a big bowl.
  • Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Crush corn flakes in a third bowl and mix in garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Form the mixture into small balls, about an inch wide.
  • Dip each ball into the beaten eggs, then roll in corn flake crumbs until coated.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange balls in a single layer in the basket and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

Pre-shredded cheese or pre-crushed cornflakes can be used to save time. Freezing mac and cheese balls before air frying is recommended for perfect texture.
