Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots Approximately 400g.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • optional cooking spray For preventing sticking.

Instructions

  • Begin by peeling the carrots using a vegetable peeler. Cut the carrots into thin fries, aiming for uniformity to ensure even cooking.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the cut carrot fries with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until all the fries are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking (optional).
  • Place the seasoned carrot fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping. Keep an eye on them, as air fryer cooking times may vary slightly based on the model.
  • Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Experiment with different seasonings, such as cumin or chili powder, for varied flavors.
For an extra touch, serve with a dipping sauce like ketchup or a yogurt-based dip.
Ensure the fries are cut evenly for consistent cooking results.
