- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb ground beef For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper To taste
- Fresh parsley For garnish, optional.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
Add minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
Add vegetables like broccoli, spinach, or bell peppers for extra nutrition and flavor.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of water or cream to loosen the sauce.
