Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 ounce)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 ounces)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Whisk until well blended.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crock pot. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Add the unsalted butter on top of the sauce mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  • Once cooking time is complete, shred the chicken directly in the crock pot using two forks.
  • Stir the shredded chicken into the sauce until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

This dish pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
You can add vegetables like carrots or broccoli for a complete meal.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove before serving.
