Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Saute diced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef. Brown, breaking it apart, until no pink remains, 8 to 10 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic, dried basil, oregano, salt, and crushed red pepper until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over beef mix and stir thoroughly; cook 1 minute to thicken.
Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth, stir to combine.
Transfer everything to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
Serve over cooked Rotini pasta, topped with grated cheddar cheese.
Notes
Best served fresh with a hint of parsley for garnish. Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for maximum 4 days.
