  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter Skippy recommended
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 cups Ghirardelli melting chocolate

  • Beat the butter, sugar, and peanut butter in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in salt and vanilla until combined, then mix in powdered sugar gradually until thick dough forms.
  • Roll dough to ½ inch thick on floured surface.
  • Cut dough with Christmas tree cookie cutter and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Freeze for 30 minutes until firm.
  • Melt chocolate gently, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip frozen trees fully in melted chocolate using a fork, then set on parchment to cool.
  • Repeat dipping in small batches to avoid melting.
  • Optional: drizzle leftover chocolate on finished trees for extra flair.

Notes

Store in airtight container at room temp for up to 2 weeks. Refrigerate or freeze if needed, and bring to room temp before serving for best taste.
