  • 1 spoon
  • 1 aluminum foil

Ingredients

  • 10 oz tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili (preferably no beans)
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (pickled or fresh)

  • ½ cup sour cream for serving

  • Once heated, evenly pour the chili over the tortilla chips.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili, ensuring an even coverage.
  • Add sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese, spreading them out evenly.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro, if desired.
  • Serve immediately with sour cream on the side for dipping.

Notes

You can customize your nachos by adding toppings like diced tomatoes, avocado, or olives.
For a spicier kick, consider using spicy chili or additional jalapeños.
Leftover nachos can be stored in the refrigerator but are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
