Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the chicken: Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them to about ½ inch thickness.
Set up a breading station: In one shallow bowl, add the flour mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to secure the coating.
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken pieces and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Assemble the sliders: Place a breaded chicken piece on each slider bun, top with a spoonful of marinara sauce and a slice of provolone cheese.
Place the assembled sliders on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve warm.
