  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 oven

  • 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 each egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning optional, for sprinkling
  • as needed salsa for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions. Mix well.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 triangles.
  • Using a rolling pin, flatten each crescent triangle slightly for easier rolling.
  • Place a generous amount of the taco mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough starting from the wide end to the pointed end, tucking in the sides as you go to prevent the filling from spilling out.
  • Place the rolled taco sticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops of the taco sticks with the beaten egg. If desired, sprinkle with taco seasoning for extra flavor.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm with salsa on the side for dipping.
