Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 oz taco seasoning 1 packet
  • 15 oz refried beans 1 can
  • 1 cup salsa
  • ½ cup sliced green onions for garnish
  • as needed serving tortilla chips for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
  • Add the taco seasoning and stir well to combine.
  • In the bottom of a baking dish, spread the refried beans in an even layer.
  • Layer the sour cream and cream cheese mixture over the beans, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  • Pour the salsa over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the salsa layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions.
  • Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

You can make this dip in advance and refrigerate it before baking. Just add an extra few minutes to the cooking time if baking straight from the fridge.
Feel free to customize this dip by adding ingredients like diced jalapeños, olives, or cooked ground beef for extra flavor.
