Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey for a leaner option.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain in a colander and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the beef is browned, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the beef mixture. Stir to combine and let it cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the drained penne pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter beef mixture. Toss to combine everything evenly.
  • Sprinkle in both the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey for a leaner option.
