Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 aluminum foil optional

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • cup pickles, sliced
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup mustard
  • 1-2 tablespoons cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked and browned.
  • In another skillet, add 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil and heat over medium heat.
  • On a clean surface, lay out one tortilla. In the center, layer the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, sliced pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, and then fold the top and bottom to create a sealed wrap.
  • Place the crunch wrap seam-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.
  • Once cooked, remove the crunch wraps from the skillet and allow to cool for a minute before slicing in half.
  • For added flavor, you can also mix in diced onions or jalapeños into the beef mixture.
  • Serve with additional condiments on the side like extra ketchup or a side of fries.
  • To keep them warm while cooking the rest, you can wrap the finished crunch wraps in aluminum foil.
