Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Take a portion of the beef mixture (about 2 ounces) and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center.
Carefully fold the beef mixture around the cheese to form a ball. Repeat this process until all cheese and beef mixture is used.
Each beef ball should be wrapped completely with one slice of bacon. Secure the bacon with a toothpick if necessary.
Place the wrapped bacon bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not touching.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Remove from the oven or grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
For extra flavor, you can brush the bacon bombs with additional BBQ sauce during the last five minutes of cooking.
Consider using a mix of different cheeses for varied flavor.
These bacon bombs can also be grilled, which adds a nice smoky flavor.
